We are pleased to be recruiting a structural engineer on behalf of an established and very busy civil structural consultancy in Wigan working on a variety of interesting projects across sectors including residential, education, commercial working on anything from simple design structures to large multi storey structures.

As Structural Engineer you will work work with 2 very experienced directors and other more junior engineers as part of a growing team. There will be good opportunity for career progression and to gain chartership..

About you and the role

• You will be a structural engineer with 3 yrs+ structural design experience ideally in client facing/consultancy environment
• Structural design to all relevant standards and European Codes
• Producing preliminary design solutions
• Producing detailed designs, calculations and specifications
• Design in all forms of construction including steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber, under the supervision of a Senior Structural engineer
• Assistance with site inspections
• Proficient in design software of software such as TSD, Tedds, Etabs etc
