Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

£40,000–£55,000 + Car Allowance | Hybrid – 2 Days in Office

The Role

You will take ownership of mechanical building services design and project delivery, working within multidisciplinary teams from concept through to detailed design.

• Design and specify mechanical building services systems
• Lead mechanical packages on small to medium-sized projects
• Produce technical designs, calculations and specifications
• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers, Technicians and other disciplines
• Liaise directly with clients and attend technical/design meetings
• Review designs and maintain technical quality and compliance
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
• Help deliver projects successfully against programme and client requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' Mechanical Building Services design experience
• Experience delivering technically complex projects
• Experience leading packages of work and coordinating junior engineers
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services design
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and/or NBS Chorus/Create
• IES Thermal Modelling experience would be advantageous
• Working towards Chartered status with CIBSE or another relevant professional body
