The Client
Our client, an established and ambitious independent MEP consultancy, is seeking a Mechanical-biased Associate Director or Regional Director to lead its Leeds office. This is a senior leadership opportunity combining operational management, technical oversight, client development and work winning. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will have genuine autonomy to shape the regional business, develop a multidisciplinary team and drive sustainable growth.
The Role
- Lead the operational and commercial performance of the Leeds office.
- Manage and develop multidisciplinary MEP and BIM teams.
- Build senior client relationships and maximise repeat business.
- Identify opportunities, lead bids and negotiate fee proposals.
- Oversee project quality, profitability, resources and programmes.
- Provide technical leadership across mechanical building services projects.
- Support recruitment, succession planning and professional development.
- Contribute to the wider business strategy and regional growth plans.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years’ experience within a UK building services consultancy.
- Strong mechanical building services design background.
- Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing client relationships.
- Demonstrable success in business development and securing work.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project profitability.
- Significant experience within the education sector, ideally including schools, colleges, universities, DfE programmes and public-sector frameworks.
- Previous responsibility for an office, region or business unit would be advantageous.
