Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Role Overview

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead project delivery, oversee high-quality electrical design outputs, and act as a key technical specialist within a fully integrated M&E environment. Working closely with both mechanical and electrical designers, you will ensure full cross-disciplinary coordination while driving technical excellence across all project stages — particularly within premium hospitality and hotel projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design delivery from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client expectations.
• Conduct and oversee site surveys, providing expert assessments and guiding junior team members in data collection and analysis.
• Produce and review design models, drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Carry out quality checks on electrical deliverables, ensuring consistency, technical integrity, and alignment with project requirements.
• Manage and nurture client relationships, acting as the primary point of technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring seamless integration between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert within cross-functional teams, advising on best practice, design strategy, and system coordination.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, offering guidance on design methodologies, standards, and professional development.
• Oversee project programmes, design deliverables, and resource planning to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Support construction, commissioning, and handover activities by providing expert technical guidance and reviewing installations.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through design reviews, value engineering, and knowledge sharing across the team.
