Are you ready to take the lead on exciting, high-impact projects and work at the forefront of innovative building services design? We are looking for a forward-thinking, technically skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team of designers, Revit technicians, building physicists, and document controllers.
You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and education sectors — from early feasibility right through to fully coordinated, installation-ready design (RIBA Stages 0–5). This is your chance to make a visible impact on buildings that shape communities.
What you will do:
- Drive fully coordinated designs in collaboration with mechanical, sustainability, and BIM colleagues
- Stay ahead of the curve with industry standards, codes, and innovations
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and apprentices with clarity and purpose
- Help shape design strategy across a wide range of projects
- Conduct internal QA checks to uphold Anderson Green’s high-quality standards
- Act as a key liaison with clients, design teams, and contractors — representing the company with professionalism
- Lead small, multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to project delivery from concept to completion
- Attend and influence project, client, and design team meetings
- Undertake feasibility studies, site surveys, and technical reports
- Produce electrical load calculations and apply for utility connections
- Deliver detailed designs for electrical systems, including reviews of subcontractor drawings and submissions
- Carry out on-site inspections and prepare reports on quality and compliance
- Confidently interpret British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry guides
What we are looking for:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent)
- Strong technical skills and experience in relevant design software (e.g. Amtech, Dialux, Revit)
- Familiar with British Standards, building regulations, and best practices
- A proactive, organised mindset with excellent time management
- Proven team player with the confidence to lead and operate independently
- Membership of a professional body (CIBSE or IET) – desirable
What you will get in return
· Competitive salary tailored to your experience
- 40-hour work week with flexibility where needed
- 33 days annual leave (25 days + 8 bank holidays)
- Healthcare scheme (including optometry, dental, physio & more)
- Company pension contribution
- Cycle to work scheme
- Central office location with great public transport links
- Regular team socials and professional development support
